Welcoming a New NDT Team Member from Arizona

Loren Ashton is a Licensed Professional Counselor from Tucson, Arizona. She graduated from University of Arizona with a BA in Psychology and earned her Masters Degree from Gallaudet University in mental health counseling. After graduate school, she obtained extensive training in Seattle, Washington at a community mental health agency in addiction (drugs and alcohol) and co-dependency. She is experienced in working with children, adults, couples, and families. Her approach to counseling is person-centered and solution-focused. Her main focus is on helping those heal from any challenges they may be facing.

Depression, anxiety, grief and loss, body image concerns, healthy relationships, addiction, and personal identity are also primary topics during treatment.

Loren creates a safe environment to help those realize their power to make positive changes by developing self-love and self-trust. She addresses life transitions, relationship challenges, various life stressors, boundaries, as well as providing different coping strategy exercises. She is a firm believer in empowerment which can fuel one’s self-growth. She believes that therapeutic rapport and confidentiality are both crucial in treatment.

Loren currently works as a school counselor. In her personal life, she enjoys interacting with animals, working out, traveling, photography, and has weakness for dark chocolate.
